60th anniversary Concourse for the Vintage and Classic Car Club of Queensland

A rainy, overcast day did little to dampen the enthusiasm of those who were at Ormiston House on Sunday, 28^th June for the 60^th Anniversary VCCQ Concourse.

Held every year, it is a celebration of the beauty and elegance of vehicle manufacturing was an art and a statement of style.

From classy saloons like the 1948 3.5 litre Jaguar to the very recognisable and popular MGs, cars of all shapes, sizes and colours looked fantastic despite the overcast conditions.

Even though the weather was less than ideal, there were plenty of people in the crowd and owners who were intent on their picnic.

Rare cars such as the 1936 Alvis owned by R Walker are examples of the work and time spent in restoring these vehicles. Of the 198 manufactured, there are only 43 left in the world today.

This year’s People’s Choice was taken out by Tony Cicchiello’s VERY red 1934 Fiat Balilla 508S Sports.
